I‘m excited to share that Candis Lettman will join Gravitas Investigations as our new remote Desktop Investigator! We’re lucky to have Candis on board to help us do industry-leading investigative work.

Candis Lettman is based in South Carolina and has over ten years of experience in investigations. Her specialty is research. Nicknamed "Garcia" by her colleagues from the popular hit TV show Criminal Minds, she takes pride in being able to piece together the clues and find the facts.

Most recently, she was the lead investigator for a double murder trial out of South Carolina, where her client was facing a life sentence if convicted. The defense attorney who hired her praised her investigative work by stating, "she saved this man’s life. I just held her briefcase."

The research comes naturally to her, and her intuitive mind allows her to excel in all cases. She is excited and eager to expand her investigative experience by joining Gravitas Investigations.

Angela Weiler

Operations Manager

Angela Weiler is a seasoned professional with 17 years of experience at the Cincinnati Police Department. Starting her career as a dispatcher, she demonstrated exceptional skills in managing communication channels for 12 years.

Elevating her career, Angela embraced the role of Data Entry Supervisor, handling all criminal and traffic charges for the Cincinnati Police Department and the Ohio State Patrol. In this capacity, her attention to detail and organizational skills were fundamental to the efficient operation of the department.

Further showcasing her adaptability and dedication, Angela played a significant role in developing the department’s Body Camera Unit. She was entrusted with critical responsibilities, including staff training and managing high-profile cases.

Angela moved on to ‘Ed’s Manifesto.‘ As the Course Administrator and Executive Assistant to Ed Calderon, she proved her ability to excel in multiple tasks while maintaining professional excellence. Today, Angela brings her rich experience, steadfast dedication, and critical eye for detail to Gravitas Investigations as the Investigations Administrative Assistant. We are thrilled to have her join our team and are confident in the value she will add as we continue to deliver high-quality investigative services. Angela’s unique background and skill set will make a significant impact on our organization

Jay Henning brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our Gravitas Investigations as a seasoned surveillance investigator. After dedicating thirty years to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Jay retired with a distinguished law enforcement career under his belt. Throughout his tenure, he served in a variety of roles, including as a corrections officer, road patrol officer, and court services specialist.

However, most of Jay‘s career was spent as a detective, where he handled a diverse range of major cases - from thefts to homicides and even undercover narcotics operations. This extensive experience has honed Jay’s investigation, surveillance, and evidence analysis skills, making him an invaluable asset to our team.

Jay holds an associate‘s degree in law enforcement and boasts a range of certifications that further attest to his expertise. He is a certified evidence technician, computer voice stress analysis (CVSA) operator, and a licensed private investigator in the State of Ohio. With his impressive background and dedication to excellence, Jay is poised to impact our company’s success significantly.

Meet Mike Vilfer, a man of action rather than words. In 2009, he embarked on a journey of service by joining the army, where he honed his skills as a military police officer. From the bustling streets of South Korea to the rugged landscapes of Kandahar, Afghanistan, and the disciplined environment of Fort Drum, New York, Mike’s dedication knew no bounds. After five years of unwavering commitment, he bid farewell to military life with an honorable discharge.

But Mike‘s thirst for knowledge and justice didn’t end there. Earning his associate degree in criminal justice post-military service, he equipped himself with the tools necessary for his next endeavor. In 2017, he transitioned seamlessly into the roles of a private investigator and executive protection agent, where his years of experience in law enforcement, surveillance operations, and military service converged into a formidable skill set. With over 15 years of expertise under his belt, Mike is a force to be reckoned with in the realms of security and investigation.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mike finds solace and excitement in his passions for sports, proudly cheering on his beloved Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians.

Nicole Paulson is a seasoned investigator with over 15 years of experience in open-source intelligence analysis, research, reporting, and investigative work. She operated as a licensed investigator across multiple states, including California, Texas, Idaho, and Washington. Nicole’s expertise includes conducting covert surveillance, handling domestic violence and human trafficking cases, and working on high-profile and sensitive investigations. Her career began with the United States Marine Corps, where she served as an Intelligence Analyst, gaining skills in counterintelligence, interagency collaboration, and Top Secret background investigations. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, ability to manage complex cases under tight deadlines, and strong collaboration with law enforcement. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Sociology with a minor in Diversity Studies from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and she leverages her diverse background to provide clients with comprehensive and effective investigative services.

Kenneth Hinners

Logan Hinners is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in investigations, security, and military service, currently serving as Surveillance Investigator for Gravitas Investigations. He excels in strategic program implementation, process improvements, and organizational development. His career began with the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a machine gunner and squad leader, and continued with the U.S. Army National Guard, where he further developed his leadership skills. Logan has managed complex investigations involving fraud, theft, and employee misconduct, and has provided technical support and troubleshooting for commercial equipment. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and strategic planning abilities, Logan is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement, making him a valuable asset to any team.
